Turkish Bread Stuffing
A herb and apple stuffing recipe that deserves an apple-lause!

FEATURING Large Herb Turkish Bread
Ingredients
1 Bakers Delight Herb Turkish bread
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 onions chopped
2 celery stalks finely chopped
2 apples peeled, cored, grated
1 tbsp dried sage or 3 tbsp fresh
2 tsp dried thyme or 2 tbsp minced fresh
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1 litre chicken stock
1/2 tsp coarse salt
2 eggs lightly beaten

Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 180ºC

Step 2
Melt butter over medium heat in a large stockpot

Add onions, celery and apples; cook until soft, about 10 minutes, reducing heat if browning occurs

Step 4
Stir in bread, herbs, chicken stock, parsley, salt and pepper. Taste, and add more salt and pepper if needed. Stir in eggs

Step 5
Transfer stuffing to a buttered 22x33cm baking dish. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, or until stuffing is golden on top
