FAQs

Why is the drink called mimosa?

The drink mimosa was named after the mimosa plant, thanks to the resemblance between the plant’s bright yellow flowers. The name is reinforced even more by the fact that the drink gained popularity in the 1920s and 1930 in France, where the mimosa tree is commonly found.

What do mimosa taste like?

A mimosa is often described as having a sweet and tangy taste. The dry flavour of the sparkling wine is balanced out by the sweetness of the orange juice, creating a light drink. Some recipes may have additional flavours using berries or other fruit to put a twist on the classic mimosa.
