FAQs

What goes well in a Hot Cross Bun?

A Hot Cross Bun goes well with both sweet and savoury fillings. If you go the savoury route, the sweetness of the Hot Cross Bun will add a nice contrast to the ingredients. Add anything you like, from cheese, tomato, and chutney and prosciutto or other cured meats. For sweet creations, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, jam, strawberries and Nutella are always fan favourites.

What do you put in an Easter platter?

An Easter platter is the perfect opportunity to get creative with your favourite Hot Cross Bun flavours. Create your own grazing board with fresh fruits, camembert and bresaola, turn them into S’Mores for a dessert feast to share, or mix and match flavours like we have above.

Are you supposed to eat Hot Cross Buns hot?

While Hot Cross Buns are traditionally eaten hot, how you eat them is up to you! If you do decide to eat them hot, they’re delicious cut in half and popped under the grill until brown. When they’re done, simply serve them on a plate with a good serving of butter and a cup of tea or coffee. It’s the ultimate Easter treat!
