FAQ’s

What is traditionally in rocky road?

Rocky road traditionally consists of marshmallows, peanuts and chewy raspberries with a delicious chocolate coating. While it’s often made using only these ingredients, this sweet snack has seen loads of variations. Add your favourite lollies, fudge, popcorn or even fresh berries.

Why is my rocky road not setting?

The secret to a perfectly set rocky road is to make sure the chocolate mixture isn’t too hot. For the ideal temperature, take it out of the microwave or off the heat just before it’s all melted. That way, it’ll set faster.

What country invented the rocky road?

The rocky road was invented in Melbourne, Australia in the 1850’s, so it’s pretty well-established! It’s thought to have been created as an answer to sweets and chocolates getting damaged in transit from Europe. The term ‘rocky road’ is therefore a nod to this difficult journey.
