FAQ’s

Can you fry eggs in the oven?

Yes, you can fry eggs in the oven. Just crack each egg onto a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper to stop it sticking, and bake at around 220 degrees for 10-12 minutes or so. You’ll want to bake them until the whites are set, with the yolks still jiggly, however, this might be longer depending on how you like your eggs. They can also be similarly ‘fried’ in an air fryer.

How do you bake eggs instead of frying?

If you want to bake your eggs rather than fry them, the easiest method is to crack each egg into a greased muffin tray and bake them in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. If you like your yolks runny, around 10 minutes is good, but for hard yolks leave them in for the full 15 minutes.

What’s the difference between a hard boiled egg and baked egg?

The main difference between hard boiled eggs and baked eggs is their texture and how they’re cooked. Hard boiled eggs are cooked in boiling water on the stovetop, whereas baked eggs go in the oven or air fryer. The eggs will also tend to puff up when they’re baked, giving a fluffier texture to the eggs.
