FAQ’s

Should a Reuben be toasted?

Reuben sandwiches are best toasted, as the melting of the cheese and the crunchiness of the bread are key to what makes them so delicious. You can also grill your Reuben sandwich to give it that golden, toasted taste.

What is the difference between a Reuben and a pastrami sandwich?

The difference between a Reuben and pastrami sandwich comes down to the ingredients. A pastrami sandwich traditionally is just pastrami and mustard on rye bread with pickles on the side. A reuben, on the other hand, has sauerkraut, Russian dressing, and swiss cheese. Pastrami sandwiches are also typically more thinly sliced compared to a Reuben sandwich.

What is a Reuben sandwich made of?

Reuben ingredients typically consist of corned beef or pastrami, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing. These ingredients are typically sandwiched between a crunchy bread like sourdough or rye, before being toasted until lightly brown.
