  1. Paul

I love this wholemeal bread, it’s absolutely delicious. I get it cut thick which suits my sandwiches and toast perfectly. Bonus is that my two young boys also like it more than any other bread we have served them.

  2. Anna van Staden

Love this, the only bread I buy. The thick (toast) slice is the best. Use to toast or sandwich just delicious. Fills you up and you don’t feel hungry.

  3. Penny

Excellent bread, not salty and not too crusty. Stays nice and soft for about 2 days. I buy a large toast sliced loaf every second day – for school lunches as well as breakfast and toasted sandwiches at home.

  4. Tatiana Mendel Sgro

The favorite bread at our house. Absolutely delicious and healthy.

  5. Jillian Richardson

Love this wholemeal loaf. Really delicious, freezes well. Hard to resist when I get it home and it’s fresh, love those crusts!!

  6. Janet Hardie

This is my favourite carbohydrate fix. I would rather go without bread than eat any other. Thick sliced is best and so delicious that it even feels healthy, real bread.

  7. Elizabeth Gully

As a family of five – myself, hubby, daughter and my two granddaughters – we love our wholemeal block loaf. We buy 8 loaves at a time and freeze and we get out of the freezer as required. The bread is beautiful and fresh every time. It freezers so well. Loaf and rolls.
The bread is a little more than supermarket loaves but it tastes so much better. Also I believe it’s so much better for you and it’s keeping our monies in Australia and supporting our awesome bakers.
The staff are friendly at the Macarthur store. I can order my bread and it’s always ready for pick up.
The bread we use for sandwiches for lunches or to make toasties and it always taste the same. I love our Bakers Delight and really do not like buying anything else!

  8. Stephan

Love the Wholemeal Block Loaf. Agree with comments in other reviews about the beautiful flavour (some supermarket varieties are so bland or curious in taste), it is rich and deep to the palate. I often buy a white block as well and then split the packs half and half. I get them sliced thin because that suits my diet. Always have toast with my breakfast, and often have cheese an tomato sandwiches as a snack or for lunch. Bakers Delight bread is just in a different category from other breads!

  9. Daniel Pisana

This loaf of wholemeal bread is by far the best bread on the market in terms of freshness and quality. No sign of corners cut here, the loaf is fresh days later. Crusty but not too crusty on the outside, with a fluffy and soft centre. Not doughy like some, no taste of vinegar and you can actually see the wholemeal which is awesome to know what your eating. The only bread our family eats!

  10. Elspeth Lovell

Bakers Delight Wholemeal Loaf is the only bread we will buy. It tastes great and is lovely fresh for sandwiches to toasted for breakfast.

  11. bevis lobo

A great everyday item for the whole family at a great price!

  12. Maria

Delicious for sandwiches, toast and toasties…..all you need for breakfast, lunch and maybe dinner 🙂

  13. Susie Murphy

The best yummy wholemeal bread we absolutely love eating it everyday .

  14. BigAl

Good bread! Enough said. I love it!

  15. Diane

Wouldn’t eat anything else. Lovely flavour, stays fresh for ages. Especially love the sesame seed version. Thank you BD

  16. Sophia

Definitely recommended! Classic, simple but delicious. It’s as soft as a cloud.

Brown bread and wholemeal bread are often used interchangeably, but there is a slight difference between the two. Brown bread refers to bread that has a darker colour, often achieved by adding caramel or molasses to the dough. On the other hand, wholemeal bread is made from whole wheat flour and other whole grains, where the entire grain is used, and milled to a fine texture. Wholemeal bread is generally considered to be a healthier option due to its higher fibre and nutrient content compared to brown bread.

Multigrain bread is white bread with a mixture of grains added in, like sesame, linseed, oats or rye. Wholemeal bread is made by milling the wholegrains to a fine texture, which gives wholemeal bread its plain brown appearance, and also makes the nutrients easier for your body to absorb as the grains don’t have to be broken down first.

Wholemeal bread is not gluten-free. Gluten is a protein naturally found in many grains, such as wheat, barley, and rye. Instead, look for specific gluten-free breads. Or, for those with sensitive tummies (but not gluten free), we have a great LowFOD range of breads and baked delights to try.

GUESS WHAT? This family favourite is an all-rounder!

Just two toast slices of our Wholemeal Loaf is high in fibre and low in saturated fat.
