Each croissant is a labour of love, crafted with precision and attention to detail, and baked fresh daily by real bakers. The process of making these delightful crescent-shaped pastries involves the careful layering of the croissant ingredients of butter and delicious pastry. This careful assembly creates the signature flaky and light texture that has made them an iconic staple in patisseries and bakeries around the globe.

As you take a bite, the initial crunch of the buttery golden brown crust gives way to the soft, tender inside leaving your taste buds dancing with delight. Whether served plain, with a bit of jam, or filled with luscious chocolate or savoury ingredients like ham and cheese, croissants are a versatile canvas for a world of culinary possibilities. Whether you’re starting your day with a warm croissant and a cup of coffee, treating yourself to a midday pick-me-up, or impressing guests with an elegant offering, these irresistible pastries will surely add a touch of sophistication and flavour to any occasion.

3 reviews for Croissant

  1. Amelia Belomesoff

It’s not too sweet, perfectly soft on the inside while being flakey and crunchy on the outside.

  2. Samantha Wright

We love Bakers Delight fresh, flakey and buttery croissants! An especially nice treat with jam for the family on the weekend.

  3. Natalie Stoute

These croissants are absolutely divine! They are nice and big so one is enough for breakfast. I love mine simply with danish butter. The flaky pastry just melts in your mouth and the inside is deliciously soft.

Croissants are undeniably French! These delectable pastries have their origins in France and are an iconic part of French culinary heritage. The french croissant, with its flaky layers and buttery goodness, has become a symbol of French baking excellence worldwide. While there is a similar pastry called “Kipferl” in Austria and Germany, the true croissant we know and love hails from the patisseries of France.

The buttery flaky deliciousness of a croissant is perfect any time of day! In France, croissants are enjoyed throughout the day, from breakfast to dinner. But, for that magical experience, mornings are the way to go! Why, you ask? Well, they’re freshest and flakiest at that time, and are perfect to pair with a coffee. Enjoy them plain or jazz them up with sweet or savoury fillings—it’s a culinary adventure!

Brioche, though delightful in its own right, differs from a croissant in both texture and ingredients. It boasts a thicker, loaf-like quality and lacks the flakiness and buttery goodness of its crescent-shaped counterpart. While brioche contains less butter than croissants, its richer density comes from a generous addition of sugar and eggs to the dough. The result is a uniquely sumptuous and denser treat that’s perfect for enjoying in a variety of sweet or savoury culinary creations.

TASTY TIDBIT You can't fake that flake!
