The current Coronavirus (COVID 19) situation is unique and we want to assure you that we are taking every possible step to protect our customers and staff from infection while continuing to delight you each and every day.
Customers in Victoria and some parts of New South Wales will notice our staff are now wearing face masks to minimise the risk of virus transmission. Some bakeries may also have plastic shields installed on their counters for extra protection.
We have removed tasting boxes from our counters but don’t be too disappointed, as our friendly staff are still happy to provide you with a fresh sample, so please ask what’s on offer.
We have temporarily suspended the use of reusable bread bags in Victoria and New South Wales, including our own branded bags. Customers in all other states are welcome to bring their reusable bread bags in.
We are encouraging customers to use tap & go payment options instead of cash wherever possible. Where cash is being used, our staff have been briefed to sanitise their hands after every transaction.
Our team members are instructed to wash/sanitise their hands every 20 minutes in addition to our already stringent hygiene procedures. They are also cleaning and disinfecting all high-touch areas, including countertops at 20-minute intervals.
Any team members who are feeling unwell are instructed to stay home and not return until they have registered a negative COVID-19 test.
We have also implemented a number of policies in accordance with social distancing recommendations:
- Many of our bakeries now have easy-to-see floor decals directing customers where to stand in order to remain socially distant from others
- For those customers wanting to use their Loyalty Card, we recommend placing this on the countertop for staff to then stamp the card without touching it
We are closely monitoring the situation and are following the recommendations of the Federal and State Governments. We will certainly notify our customers if anything changes.
